Selena Fox

Founder, Chairperson

Chief Executive of New Zealand Tertiary College, a specialist early childhood teacher education and health and wellbeing college with campuses in Auckland, Christchurch and Mumbai, Selena is passionate about every child’s right to an education.

Selena initially supported creating the Jagriti Girls’ Home, a safe haven for girls living in the New Delhi slums, before founding Jagriti Foundation to gift Hope through Education in India and Recovery and Rehabilitation in New Zealand.

Selena is married to her most awesome Brent and has three treasured adult children.

James Ward

Trustee

General Manager of New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC), a specialist early childhood teacher education and health and wellbeing college, James is passionate about gifting Hope through Education.

He has a strong history of involvement in refugee programs and supporting refugee communities with language and skill development. Jagriti Foundation is another chapter in his working with communities in need in New Zealand and internationally.

James has a beloved adult son.

Brent Simpson

IT Operations Manager of New Zealand Tertiary College, a specialist early childhood teacher education and health and wellbeing college, Brent believes education is crucial to positive futures for young children and adults.

He has been involved in all levels of education in New Zealand, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates for more than forty years. Brent was an instant supporter of Selena’s idea to gift Hope through Education with Jagriti Foundation.

Brent visits India with Selena several times a year to support Jagriti Foundation’s work.

Maheshwari and Bikash Deep have a special place in the heart of Jagriti Foundation and played important leadership roles in the building of the first Jagriti Academy in India. They manage various projects on the ground in Ballia and work alongside 22 teachers, a school manager and local contractors to ensure the day-to-day running of the foundation’s initiatives are well-managed and successfully support the local community.
